My First Gradient

I finally finished spinning and plying my first Fiber Optic gradient.  I have 3 on queue, and chose this one – Blush to Celery, as the color gradations were longer and thought it would be more forgiving with my spinning abilities (inabilities).

Singles:

Evening out the twist with my newish LeClerc bobbin winder:

I wound the singles off the spinning wheel by placing my wheel in the living room and threading the yarn through the dining room into the kitchen.  It gives about 20 feet to smooth out the twist.

And here are my results, 528 yards of 2 ply.

Forgive me as I brag.  My neighbors did not find this as exciting as they should have.

Destined to become a shawl.  I have a pattern in mind, I just need to spin the other braid.
