A View into my Knitting World
Or, at least a view into my knitting room. A space in progress, and almost complete. Here was the previous view, the room does not have an outside window, but a window opening into the family room. I placed blue glass jars along the edge to create more of a barrier, but knew that I wanted something else.
A couple of weeks ago I was at the ReUse Depot scoping it out to take my class there, and found some gorgeous art glass doors from interior cabinetry taken out of an older house. I was pretty sure that they would fit, but put them on hold to measure. And last weekend my husband and I installed them, I think that it is a good fit. And creates the feeling of a barrier while being very open.
And the view out to the family room from my knitting room.
At the same time, I found 3 smaller doors that work well on the outside windows. Here is the before photo.
And after…
Lovely aren’t they? Makes me wonder what the house was like, obviously Arts & Crafts. There were a few more smaller ones, the built-in must have been gorgeous. So sad to see lovely old homes destroyed. At least now the parts are recycled.
