That is how many times someone looked at my cabled blue sweater on Ravelry. Compared to many of the popular sweaters or people on Ravelry, that seems so insignificant. Some people have twice that many favorites alone, and thousands of views linked to one project. It is just that I don’t think that 100 people have ever seriously looked at any project of mine before, even when I was wearing it for days. A few, yes, but not many. It makes me feel good to have visible and invisible friends who support, like, or are just curious about my knitting. For many years it has been a very solo occupation. I have taken classes over the years, but there are not many left that either interest me or hold a challenge. A couple of years ago, Manning convinced me to start attending the local S&B. It is there that I found out about Eunny Jang, Ravelry, and many new shops and interesting tidbits that have enriched my knitting life. I do still love the solo aspect of knitting, and that it is something that I do by myself, and take with me. It is amazing what the internet has done for this craft, and my enthusiasm for it. And to my stash….
