Boreal Socks
I finally finished my Boreal socks from the January installment of the Knitterai Sock Club by Janel Laidman. I have to redo the cuff however, as it is too tight. The directions called for the EZ sewn bind-off. I chose to do a tubular bind-off instead, as it would be more elastic, and not as floppy as some I had seen online. However, I knit the set-up rows with the twisted rib, and that has proven to be too tight, so I will have to remove the last few rows and knit them again. I knit a few rows of 1×1 rib after the pattern to give the cuff a more finished look.

They are really pretty! I see that a lot of your magnolia blossom has fallen, but it makes a very good background for the socks.

It is a good background. Didn’t get enough tree time to properly enjoy the fragrant blossoms.
